O Sonagi Project, estabelecido por Jang Jae Hyo, percussionista e vocalista, tem como objetivo a realização de amplas e variadas atividades artísticas sem as delimitações de um gênero. Especialmente “BarameSoop – The Forest of Wind”, um grupo Jang-go produzido em 2008 com o apoio da Seoul Foundation of Arts and Culture, que almeja ser o mais inovador trabalho baseado em música tradicional desde Samulnori. “BarameSoop”, que é composto por cinco tocadores de Jang-go e 10 Jang-gos, mostra a grandeza da natureza, a fonte da força da vida infinita, e energia através da performance, música e dança Jang-go. Diversas músicas com dez minutos de duração compõem uma grande peça e artistas instantaneamente tocam músicas refletindo a satisfação da platéia. Apesar de ser uma performance autêntica, contém muitos elementos experimentais.

Sonagi Project, which is established by Jang Jae Hyo, a percussionist and vocalist, aims at wide and various artistic activities without any reigns of a genre. Especially “BarameSoop – The Forest of Wind”, a Jang-go ensemble which was produced in 2008 with the support of Seoul Foundation of Arts and Culture, is aiming for the most innovative work based on the traditional music since Samulnori. “BarameSoop”, which is composed of five Jang-go players with 10 Jang-go’s, shows the greatness of the nature, the source of strength of infinite life, energy by Jang-go performance, song and dance. Several ten-minute-long songs make up a great piece of work and also performers instantly play songs reflecting the mirth from the audience. Even though it is an authentic performance, it strongly contains experimental elements.
